The nose displays primary black fruits, cigar box and briary aromas. The palate is rich with dark chocolate, black fruits and rose petal. The cedar oak is well integrated and the finish is long and structural with firm tannins.

"94 points. This exudes cassis, dried sage, spearmint and bitter chocolate notes, rounded up by a plume of savoury tannins, pliant and moreish." — Ned Goodwin, James Halliday Wine Companion
"93 points. Deep red colour with a good tint of purple. The bouquet is concentrated and essency, as is the palate flavour. A full-bodied, densely-packed wine of massive flavour and amongst it all, supple, soft tannins and a texture and balance that render it remarkably approachable already. A big softie - and great value." — Huon Hooke, The Real Review
