Syn is good enough to be called sin in a bottle. It's a red sparkling, made from Coonawarra Shiraz. It's surprisingly elegant (at the price point) and liqueured with 2% vintage port. It's creamy, moreish and very easy drinking. Made by Leconfield, a reputable and well-established brand (since 1974) this wine is perfect for a summer's day but will do just fine this time of the year, sipped cold in front of a nice fire. — Franz Schuerer, Australian Gourmet Pages
